The Antioquian company, ISA (Spanish acronym for Electric Interconnection S.A.) won the bidding process for a substation in the Department of Magdalena in Colombia.
The bidding was an open one regulated by the UPME (Spanish acronym for Mining Energetic Planning Unit) in order to develop the new substation Termocol and its associated lines in the Department of Magadalena.
Through a press release the UPME announced the adjudication of the infrastructure work to ISA with the next paragraph:
“The Public Announcement called UPME 02-2010 will allow ISA to design, acquire supplies, build and operate and maintain the new substation and transmission lines of double circuit of 220 thousand volts linking it to the point of sectioning of the line Santa Marta – Termoguajira”
With this project ISA will be bringing more confidence to the system because this will allow transporting the generation produced by Termocol.
With this adjudication is expected that the share of ISA in the Colombian Stock Market on Monday goes up to end as one of the winners of Monday. The market should react to this stimulus if not have an impact at the end of the operations of today friday 13th of July.
