The Colombian economy has been growing in a measured way that also has been provided a strong marketplace for Colombian and international companies.
The Colombian Stock Exchange has presented a behavior with less volatility than the others Stock Exchange in the region and the domestic consumption has been growing steadily due to the growth of the middle class and the easily way to access to credits. Also the real sector companies have been showing a very good behavior managing their costs and having very competitive prices. Other factor is that the international prices of the commodities have placed the region in a very strong shape.
Also the local businessman are taking risks by expand their business in the region. They are doing this by opening subsidiaries in other countries or buying local assets in order to start operations with a market share, which is generating more wealth in the region due to the change of owners of large companies or specific business, and taking out of the market international companies that needed to sell their assets in the region in order to gain financial stability for the crisis in their headquarters.
Also international businessmen are looking to Colombia as a very plausible destination for their investments due to all the reasons that we stated before.
This has been generating a business flow of 1.820 million dollars only in the financial market, due to the operations with the Davivienda Bank, Sudameris Bank, and the brokerage firms like Correval or Bolsa y Renta.
All this business movement could be beneficial for the country because most of the times also mean job generation, more wealth distribution and increasing acquisitive power for the social classes.
