The name of the company is Gran Colombia Gold, which owns two large gold mines in Segovia and Marmato. This company took a very good position in the colombian market by acquiring the companies Frontino Gold Mine and Medoro Resources, and fusion those in Gran Colombia Gold.
In 2011 this company extracted 91.000 ounces and they are forecasting to double its production in 2012.
The entrance in the BVC would be in 2013 and with this movement they are seeking to position the company as the biggest gold producer in Colombia, finance their operations and use Colombia as their South American Headquarters, enter in the MILA and reach Chilean and Peruvian capitals that have a lot of experience in the mining explotation and exploration.
According to the president of the company, the international price of the commodity could increase its price up to 1.700 dollars per ounce. With the current prices, the profit margin is about the 40% because the operational costs rises to 1.000 dollars per ounce, sending a message to all the investors in order to maintain the expectative for the placement of shares in the BVC.
