The Chilean retail company is seeking to enter aggressively in the Colombian consumption market after the purchase of the Carrefour operations in the country and will be investing in that direction.
The Chilean retail company Cencosud will be forwarding an investment plan in the South American region in order to increase its market share in countries like Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia.
This investment plan is forecasted for over 730 million dollars with which the company is expecting to have incomes for over 22.500 million dollars, according to a press release presented by the company.
Of these 730 million dollars, 80 million dollars will be allocated in the Colombian market which will be used to open a new supermarket and Easy, also finance the rebranding of Carrefour hypermarkets.
The company also stated that restricted to 731 million dollars the investment plan for organic growth, including the opening of 58 new stores with an increase of about 5% in the sales area.
