The only problem of the company is that it belongs to the Bogota district, and the owner and decision maker there is no one but the mayor: Mr. Gustavo Petro, who authoritarian decisions have done more harm than good to the company’s finances.

Other owners of EEB besides Bogota’s Mayor Office are: Corficolombiana, Ecopetrol and Retirement Funds.

The company, is in a strategic sector, as is the Energy in Colombia, has great managerial capabilities, and over the years has had excellent and improving results. The company is worth more than 7 billion, the stock is 1.2 over the books value and is a piece of great risk, and not to many analyst recommend it but there is also a great deal of big bucks coming in for those risk takers willing to bet.
