The Antioquian mining company listed in the BVC (Spanish acronym for Colombian Stock Exchange), Mineros S.A., presented its earnings report this week.
The operational net income increased in 50.40% in the first semester of the current year in comparison with the same period of the last year. This was driven by the fact that the company increased its sales incomes in 22.50% maintaining the production costs and operational costs also showing a very good expenses management.
The great results of the first semester of 2012 are positively influenced by the acquisition made by the company in Peru.
According to the company the total estimation was around 3 million ounces of gold, from which 2.1 million are from the alluvial operation, achieving the total reposition of the exploited reserves in the first semester of the year.
Due to the results presented in the earnings report of the company, the share of the company showed a very good performance in the BVC this week and also its Ebitda increased 33% in comparison with the same period of 2011, reaching 116.141 million COP$. The underground operation continues near the 100.000 ounces with a great improvement in the quality of the reserves in comparison with 2011, because the proven reserves are 50.000 ounces more than the last few months of 2011.
