If is your first time in Medellin for the Flower fair and you do love flowers Santa Elena is the place where you have to go.

Santa Elena is a township of Medellin where traditionally are grown the flowers that every year make everyone enjoy at the flowers fair, and visiting it is the best way to really enjoying the Flower fair of Medellin.

There you will find beautiful landscapes and humble but hospitable countrymen wanting to make feel like home.

The plan for going there is by walking, because since this week and as a preparation for the Silleteros parade, none that does not have a special license can go up there by car.

Santa Elena has 17 shires all of them full of commercial activity for you to enjoy and flowers to picture. Lots of traditional food like arepas, empandas, Chuzos and any paisa dishes for you to enjoy.

What about the money?

Don’t worry, with a 80 bucks will be more than enough for the trip. This includes round trip in bus from Medellin, medical assistant card and the night of hotel, visit to the museum of Santa Elena.
