According with data provided by the World Economic Forum, Colombia is in th 109th position over 139 countries. The money is there, the need is there, what more is needed?
As an every Country in Latin America, the society has to deal with mediocre politics that in the instant they see very good perspectives in the economy or in the development of the country starts to fight one to each other in order to take credit for everything. This is the reflection that has on infrastructure for example.
The money to make infrastructure works is there, there are some private companies, hedge funds and equity funds waiting anxiously to invest in the sector, but it hasn’t started moving as it should yet because of political burocracy and fear to doing things.
Colombia needs to start talking about the inefficiency of the its nations judges. I would like to point out that the law must be fulfilled but should be applied with discretion and common sense, which our judges do not have, and all that they are accomplishing is scaring the few politicians that are willing to do something for the people, with subjectives judgments with political objectives.
If infraestructure is one of the locomotives of the country, why are they continuing to slow it down. This locomotive is capable to start the engines of the entire economy and is a great source of employment, of well-being for the community, why keep entangling the contracts, why keep entangling the politics?
Politics and politicians should be dedicated to serve the people, not to exploit them. So with all that said, we ask for a qualitative lap of political leadership and for Dr. Fajardo and Dr Gaviria to be the leaders to guide us toward a future of prosperity both in Antioquia and Medellin.
